Can You Adopt a Distribution Round?
Thank you to everyone involved in distributing the Easter cards around the parish. We do 2-3 distributions per year, and we need another 4 people to each adopt a round for future communications. Could you be part of this? If you can help with distribution, please contact Ian Macleod at events@stjohnswalton.co.uk

PCC Vacancies
The APCM (Annual Parochial Church Meeting) offers everyone on the church electoral roll the chance to nominate and vote for members of the congregation to represent their views via the PCC (Parochial Church Council).
We have a number of PCC vacancies coming up, which will need to be filled in April, when three current members stand down. We will also need a PCC Secretary, as Cathi Thacker leaves the role.
Serving on the PCC is an opportunity to contribute your support, skills and experience to the behind-the-scenes decision making that keeps church running. We are so grateful to those who give their time and commitment in this way, and welcome nominations from across our congregations for new members. Each nominee will need two nominations from members on the electoral roll and will need to have been on the electoral roll themselves for at least six months prior to the APCM. Please would you be praying about who might step forward this year, and make sure you are on the electoral roll so that you can be a part of the process.
For more information about PCC please speak to one of our wardens or a current PCC member. Please see the noticeboard at the back of church for names and faces of our current members.

On Saturday 17th May, the Community Garden are hosting a Spring Open Day with guests from the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust. The Garden will be officially open for visitors between 11am and 3pm, with refreshments available and the following activities and workshops on offer on an informal, ad hoc basis throughout the day:
- seed exchange
- seed bomb making
- bird box making (first come first served)
- talks about soil health (from Derbyshire Wildlife Trust)
- book sale
It's a great opportunity to invite friends or neighbours to see what has been going on in the garden since last year, so please do take an invite or two from the back of church or the Atrium.
Help needed! If you would like to support the event by baking a cake, donating garden seeds, or helping on the day, please contact Rev Jo or Steve Fisher.
