St Peter’s - About Us
St Peter’s Holymoorside is part of a joint parish with St John’s Church in nearby Walton, Chesterfield.
Our Church is situated on:
Parking is limit in the village and we ask visitors to give consideration to the local residents if coming by car.
Baptisms, weddings & funerals are held here, as are special services such as Harvest Festival, an annual Memorial Service, & Lessons & Carols, Nativity & Midnight Mass services during the Christmas season.
The Memorial Garden
During the COVID pandemic, a Memorial Garden and Wall were created by one of our congregation members. While the churchyard is now closed to new burials, ashes can be interred here in perpetuity.

Worship
Our worship follows a traditional pattern with either keyboard or guitar accompaniment and songs from Mission Praise.
Clergy members & Lay Readers from St John’s, Walton also lead our services.
We also get together with the nearby United Reformed Church for joint services regularly.
