"My house will be called a house of prayer" Isaiah 56:7
Each Sunday, after the 10.45am service (or during distribution on Communion weeks), members of the team are available to listen and pray with anyone who may have a particular need or concern.
The ministry takes place in the corner with the wooden cross and it's hoped people will feel able to come, assured of a safe, caring and confidential environment.
For the Prayer Ministry Team, it will be a privilege and a joy to share this opportunity for prayer.
Additionally, for anyone else using the church or anyone who can't take advantage of the prayer ministry time, we have a Prayer Box on the table at the back of church. There are prayer request slips available to fill in (anonymously if preferred) and put in the box, and these requests will be prayed over each week by the Prayer Ministry Team.
As a church, we're called to pray for one another. Let's honour the Lord by really making this a "house of prayer".
Street Pastors patrol on Friday evenings 7pm -9.30pm with the aim of getting alongside young people in the New Beetwell Street area who are seen by the authorities as a problem.
This is combined with a drop in centre at Grace Chapel. We are looking for a small number of volunteers to help out on a fairly regular basis who will need an up to date CRB check.
Talk to John Bown if you are interested.
