"My house will be called a house of prayer"  Isaiah 56:7

Now wouldn't that be something for St John's to be known for?

Well, we're making positive steps in developing this church's prayer life and the latest has been to form a Prayer Ministry Team.  Each Sunday, after the 10.45 service (or during distribution on Communion weeks), members of the team will be available to listen to and pray with anyone who may have particular needs or concerns.

A dedicated corner at the back of church, near the font, will be reserved for this prayer ministry and it's hoped people will feel able to come, assured of a safe, caring and confidential environment.  For the Prayer Ministry Team, it will be a privilege and a joy to share this opportunity for prayer.

Additionally, for anyone else using the church or anyone who can't take advantage of the prayer ministry time, we have a Prayer Box on the table at the back of church.  There are prayer request slips available to fill in (anonymously if preferred) and put in the box, and these requests will be prayed over each week by the Prayer Ministry Team.

As a church, we're called to pray for one another.  Let's honour the Lord by really making this a "house of prayer".

Thank you so much.  Every blessing

Street Pastors patrol on Friday evenings 7pm -9.30pm with the aim of getting alongside young people in the New Beetwell Street area who are seen by the authorities as a problem. This is combined with a drop in centre at Grace Chapel. We are looking for a small number of volunteers to help out on a fairly regular basis who will need an up to date CRB check. Talk to John Bown if you are interested.
