How we are organised
The two primary bodies involved in the running of the St John’s are the Parochial Church Council and the Ministry Team.
The Parochial Church Council is the body responsible for overseeing the whole of Church life. They try not to get caught up with the details of day to day Church life (leaving that to the Ministry Team) but seek to ensure that our Vision and Priorities are clear and that we are working towards them. They are responsible too for setting the church's policy on different subjects and have a particular responsibility for the financial management of the Church.
The Ministry Team works with the clergy and wardens in overseeing the day to day life of the Church.

The Team was originally commissioned by the then Bishop of Derby on September the 23rd, 2000. Since then it has developed to become an essential part of the life of the Church. Each member is responsible for the oversight and development of their particular Area. Together with the Clergy, the Team also seeks to provide leadership and direction for the whole Church.
If you wish to know more about any of these Areas, please speak to the appropriate Team Member.
